Housing? What Housing? I Don’t See Any Housing

We have been long and building into our long on SDS for a few weeks. Today was the first day in over 12 that on the 30 minute chart SDS 10 ema moved above our 40 ema. This is potentially very bullish for a sustained downside move for the SP 500 in here if we can go and test the lows here without taking them out. I am looking to add more to my long SDS in here if we can get a test, I will add to my position.

MA really was driving and making bears cryin’ this am as it sprinted all the way to its old high @ 118. Turned out to be a good sell point as the stock got hammered into the close and closed in the 111’s. Quite a turnaround today as it was very weak feeling day all day as stocks were up most of the day but really felt like they were going to get hammered and they did into the close. Should be interesting to watch and learn tomorrow. The market is my misstress.

I traded all am and there was very little movement today. BHI was on top of my short list this am and I was hoping for a gap up. The stock actually opened flat and ran all am. I broke a rule of mine which is to not trade in the first half hour on stocks that are flat, but I did sell the stock early @ 81.9 and then watched it run all the way to 83.49. I added to the trade at about 82.6 and stopped out over 83. This was my plan and I got stopped. I then resold the name when it broke 82.75 on a stop sell. The trade ended up finally working and I covered it @ 81.12 and made some nice money on the trade. My other big winner today was JSDA that I came in long from 23.4 and I sold out half my position@ 24.4 and proceeded to watch it trade up another $1.5. I sold my other half out @ 25 and it paid very nicely. Nice to have swing trade work well. I also had a nice short on CAT intraday that netted me about .65 on the trade. I also resold my Kiwi/Dollar today and daytraded the Dow Futures for 62 points on the short trade. All in all a fun day for how slow it started. I also had a nice ride on the long side on WFR, today was day 2 down and I waited paitently for what I thought was a nice entry @ 54.75 and took it up for .9 ride on the long side.

Let’s see what happens tomorrow as we fire up the screens for another ride.

We got a big move down there and got close to top ticking it today, so we are going home flat as we cover the remaining half here @ 13122 and will revisit the trade again on rallies.

Heading to hit some golf balls. Need to get that short game dialed in.

We are reentering our KIWI Dollar short. It has bounced back to .7418 and we are back in on the short side up to the .75’s on stops. Giving it some room as it feels as if the dollar is due for a nice bounce here some time in the futures. So getting back on the short Kiwi horse here.

We are taking off half the Trade on the short Dow here for a quick 50 pts. We will look to sell as it rises. Nice quick gainer there on the dow futures. 13146 was the cover on the first half.

The dow 30 have had a truly remarkable run since last July after our last selloff. I have no idea if we are near a top or are going to 14k first. I do look at the weekly chart though and see that the break we saw in February is now being tested though at higher prices. I have drawn the trend line from that first big move and you can see that we are bumping right under that long term line here. Can we keep going? Or do we need a break? I am short the Dow primarily for this reason. If we close over this line I will have to reevaluate my entry on the short side, for now I am short.

Sold some dow futures as this market feels heavy to this trader as volume wanes and we grind up higher all day about 55 pts off the am lows. We are short @ 12196 and will add every 50 pts higher at this entry. Let’s give it a go.

I sold some BHI June 85 calls @ $2, I want to be in this name a bit longer so I am selling a few K’s here on the june 85 calls.

THe RSI on the daily is very oversold and I want to be involved here a little bit.
